This extremely rare Kangaroo Cat is shunned by it's "normal" siblings.

HELLO,WE ALSO OWN A RADIAL HYPOPLASIA KITTY HE’S 6 MOS.OLD.THE HUMAN SOCIETY WANTED TO PUT HIM TO SLEEP,SAYING HE WAS NOT ADOPTABLE.HE NOW TRIES TO RUN THE HOUSEHOLD EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE OLDER CATS IN THE HOME.
Now that is so hilarous. I hope you named him Joey.
I also had a male cat named Hope with raidial hypoplasia. He was at broward animal care and literally screamed at me from the cage. They found him in the swamps at sawgrass and told me he would not be adoptable. I placed 5 down in order o make sure he had a chance that his owner could find and claim him and so they send him through the check up, found a tattoo and located the owner. I was so happy only to freeze in sadness again. The lady who owned him said, she would pick him up and did not come. SO, most likely she was the one to put him out. I picked him up and brought him home and was insecure what to do at first. Well, Hope showed me immediately what he wanted, needed and what he was capable of. The whole house was soon stacked with pillows, plush blankets, rugs. He could jump up very well but to jump down he had to have a pillow and rugs at any “Jump station” for a soft landing because his front paws were deformed so that he could only land on his elbows. He got immediately along with the other cats and took over the house with his cheerful and lovable personality. He was the most loving and beutiful little friend and enjoyed life so much. Unfortunately 3 weeks ago he collapsed all of a sudden without any warning and went into a comatoes state. I rushed him to the hospital and they ould bring him back with IV setup and dextrose, antibiotics and steroids. However, afetr 4 days of fighting, he died, his heart stopped and he died in intensiv care. His heart stopped and it seems so did mine foreever. What I meant to say is, that these cats when found in shelters should not be put to sleep because they are the most loving cats and they enjoy life, even with their handicap and with a tiny arrangement like pillows and extra attention and care you can experience the deepest love and friendship. He was not one moment apart from me, that was why it was especially hart to only being able to visit him in intensiv care but not to stay and be there the whole last 4 days. I visited him every day but he did recover but never gained control over his kedney functions again. His liver was slightly enlarged and the Hollywood ANimal Hospital could not give me a diagnosis. That is specifically hart on me. If anyone had a similar xperience with radial hypoplasia cats and knows what could had done this from oe night to the other, please let me know. I miss him so much that I barely can breathe.
We have adopted one of these precious angels as well. The vet where he was thought he should be put down because she said he was so abnormal on the outside that his insides must be a mess. I picked him up and took him to my vet who thankfully took xrays, and everything on the inside, even his wee spine was normal. I shudder to think our wee Cayden(little fighter) as we named him may not have lived because of how he looked. He runs our house, and has taken complete control not only over my husband and my hearts, but those of our two dogs and our other cat. They dote on him but he is quick to show them that he is a tough little man. He too lands on his elbows and yes we have cushions around but the funnies thing is that one of his canine or feline sisters or brothers seem to always be there waiting for him to land softly on them. lol. These cats should always be given as much chance at a good, loving home as any other pet as they give so much back in return. Thanks for listening.
