This picture is of a cat who has had to be shaved, probably because he arrived at a rescue shelter in such a state that he would not be able to clean his fur himself.

Ask yourself, WHY would someone shave their cat for fun?? Morons!

You all are fools. Shaving a cat is not cruel, it doesnt hurt, they aren’t being tortured! I’ve been shaving my cat for years and he loves it. If anything I’ve noticed that he’s much more comfortable without his coat during our long summers. In the winter I leave it on.

Get over yourselves and stop being so ignorant.. really.

dont be such idiots…its called a “lion cut” and the reason why you shave the cat like that is cause it has long hair and it gets matted and knotty like dread locks…so i think that is a good enough reason for shaving the cat.

I am a cat groomer and we shave cats like that all the time cause otherwise there skin gets pulled from the knots.

Not everyone is bloody paris hilton and does things to animals for fashion purposes!!!

I live with three long haired cats and would never do that, you just brush them everyday, if you want a long haired cat then you have to put in the grooming time!!!
